Mount Pleasant
In all my glorious wisdom, I decided to run up the infamous High St on a 35 degree day. Luckily, it’s not high, but it does afford ideal views of Mackay. It was also good to throw in some smaller hills, something which is lacking on the Southside of Mackay.
Freshwater Point
Having been over a week since my last rendezvous at Eton, I decided to head for the Sarina coast half an hour south of Mackay. 10 minutes from Sarina is Armstrong Beach and the nearby Freshwater Point, a small seaside locality. Popular with mountain bikers and 4WDs, there is some scintillating scenery with blissful views over the Coral Sea 🌴🌊🐙
